F.A.Q.

Q: How long does it take to feel relief?

A: Our steam therapy wand will give you relief from the second you start using it. We recommend using it for 5 minutes at the start and end of each day for immediate relief that lasts throughout the day.

Q: Is the steam safe for my eyes?

A: Yes! The steam is nowhere near hot, rather it comes out at body temperature - similar to what you'd expect from a humidifier or face steamer. You're able to select between 100°F (38°C), 104°F (40°C), and 108°F (42°C). All of which are gentle and 100% safe for your eyes.

Q: How often should I use the wand? Can I use it everyday?

A: We recommend using our steam therapy wand for 5 minutes at the start and end of each day for immediate relief that lasts throughout the day. If you'd like to use it more though, that's completely fine!

Q: How do I clean the wand?

A: Every couple weeks we recommend you fill your steam therapy wand with distilled water and let it completely empty the tank twice.

Q: Will the wand get moldy? How do I stop mold from building up?

A: With the way our steam therapy wand is designed, it's nearly impossible for mold to form. Since it uses ultrasonic technology (similar to a newer model humidifier), there's no internal parts that stay wet. If you're worried about the water tank or silicone eye surround getting moldy, simply unscrew the cap, remove the silicone eye surround and let them both air dry. To this day and out of all the steam therapy wands we've sold, we've never had a customer complain about mold build up!

Q: How hot does the steam get?

A: Our steam therapy wand offers 4 levels of warmth, which can be selected using the heating mode button. The default mode is no heating, which will give you a cool / room temperature steam. Once you start using the heating modes, you can select between 100°F (38°C), 104°F (40°C), and 108°F (42°C). All of which are gentle and 100% safe for your eyes.

Q: Should I keep my eyes open or closed when using the wand?

A: You must keep your eyes closed while using the mask. This ensures complete comfort and prevents any potential irritation from the steam. Simply relax and let the mask do its job for the full session. Keeping your eyes closed allows for safe and effective steam therapy across the entire eye area.

Q: What liquids should I use?

A: You're able to use different liquids, from mineral water to tap water. Note: Do not use pure water, distilled water or other liquids.
